I'm part of the the crew that is building the Heart Beat Amplifier sculpture for Burning Man. The HBA is an interactive sculpture that uses *your* heart beat to move an electrical current through a light, a subwoofer, and a vibrational platform. Here's how it works: you sit in a chair, place your hands on an EKG sensor, and then...your chair vibrationally pulses; you hear your heart beat deeply resonate through an enormous speaker; you feel the warmth of a light as it pulses on your face. Last night I got to experience it for the first time, and it is AMAZING!
Every time I giggled my heart beat would increase and the sound, vibration, and heat flash would speed up. It was so great! If you'll be on the playa, you MUST come check it out.
